Beth and Hannah: Summer Wedding on Skaneateles Lake

Like most couples who had planned to get married in 2020, Beth and Hannah faced a series of hurdles as the planned and re-planned their celebration overlooking beautiful Skaneateles Lake. They ultimately chose to move forward with a plan that involved a tiny ceremony, with their closest family members attending in person and other friends and family members joining virtually.

With heavy storms set to move through the area at the exact time as the festivities were planned, we dove immediately into Beth and Hannah’s absolutely magical first look in the pines. Their reactions to seeing each other’s completed wedding looks were DYNAMITE and the joy was tangible. It’s possible that I even shed a tear from my comfortable hiding place behind my camera and mask!

As if on cue, the rain began to fall while we wrapped up the final (blustery!!) family photos, and everyone headed to the lake house to take cover. The dads readied the chuppah while other last-minute details were attended to, and one of the sweetest ceremonies we’ve ever witnessed commenced. Beth and Hannah invited multiple family members to participate, making it extra meaningful and personal. I don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t beaming ear to ear as Beth and Hannah shared a kiss under a shower of confetti and walked the aisle as a married couple!

Beth and Hannah, congratulations again. We could not be happier for the two of you!
